In the last few moments, easyJet flight U23223 from Edinburgh to Heraklion has declared an emergency.
Information is limited surrounding the incident at hand.

UPDATE #1 @ 1753 UK time – The aircraft is in German airspace and is descending.
UPDATE #2 @ 1757 UK time – The Airbus A320 is diverting to Munich as a result of the emergency call.
UPDATE #3 @ 1758 UK time – G-EZUN is the aircraft involved in the incident.
As per Planespotters, G-EZUN is a 14.3 year old Airbus A320 that was delivered to the airline back in March 2012 under the UK subsidiary.
Within the UK subsidiary, easyJet has 81 A320ceos in their fleet, of which all of them are currently in active service, with an average fleet age of 13.4 years.
The airline also has the A319, and A321neo aircraft in their fleet too.
Furthermore, the airline in orange has several hundred aircraft in their fleet across different countries and air operator’s certificates as well such as Austria, Switzerland and the UK.

UPDATE #4 @ 1801 UK time – The aircraft is on the base leg and is preparing for final approach into Munich for an emergency landing.
UPDATE #5 @ 1802 UK time – As per @FlightEmergency on X, it is understood the emergency is due to one of the pilots being unwell.

UPDATE #6 @ 1810 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!
easyJet flight U23223 from Edinburgh to Heraklion has appeared to have touched down safely following it’s emergency call.
It is unclear what the next steps will be for this flight following the issue with the pilot onboard.
