easyJet Starlink Wi-Fi is coming to the carrier's narrowbody fleet for the first time, with Aviation24.be reporting that installations are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027 and wrap up by early 2028.

The announcement marks a significant shift for easyJet, which has until now operated without any form of onboard connectivity. For passengers used to going dark the moment the doors close, the change will be noticeable from the moment hardware starts appearing on the fleet.

What the easyJet Starlink Wi-Fi Service Will Cover

Once installed, the Starlink system will let passengers stream content, play online games, browse the web and work from their own devices, according to Aviation24.be. The connection will also give access to the easyJet app and website, along with destination information.

easyJet has said the technology could support onboard food and drink ordering in future, though no launch date has been attached to that possibility.

Which Aircraft Will Be Fitted

The types earmarked for the upgrade are the Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo. You can look up individual examples of those types using our Aircraft Search tool.

easyJet has not yet said which aircraft or routes will be first in line once installations begin, so the early months of the programme will offer little clarity for passengers planning specific journeys.

What easyJet Has Not Said

Two questions matter most to passengers and neither has been answered. easyJet has not disclosed whether access will be complimentary or charged, and has given no pricing details either way. CEO Kenton Jarvis has indicated the investment is aimed at improving the experience for both leisure and business travellers, per Aviation24.be, but the commercial model remains unconfirmed.

That gap is worth watching. Whether Wi-Fi becomes a free perk or an ancillary revenue line will shape how much the service actually changes the passenger experience in practice.

Our Previous Coverage

We have been tracking this partnership since it was announced. Our earlier reporting covered easyJet's Starlink deal and the 292-jet scope of the rollout, as well as the confirmed 2027 start date for fleet installations. Today's update adds detail on the specific aircraft types and the range of uses the service is intended to support.

The Bottom Line

A 2027 start and early 2028 completion means this is still some way off for most easyJet passengers. The hardware plan is clear: Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo across a fleet of 292 aircraft. Everything that affects the day-to-day passenger decision, chiefly price and which routes get it first, is still to be confirmed. Those answers will determine whether easyJet's first connectivity offering becomes a genuine draw or simply a box ticked.
