In the last few moments, an Air France Airbus A350 operating a flight from Paris to Dallas has made a u-turn over the Atlantic and declared an emergency.
F-HUVR is the aircraft involved, and is understood to be diverting to Dublin.

UPDATE #1 @ 1253 UK time – The aircraft is making steady progress towards Dublin.
UPDATE #2 @ 1258 UK time – F-HUVR is the aircraft involved in the incident.
As per data from Planespotters.net, F-HUVR is a 1.1 year old Airbus A350-900 that was delivered to Air France back in June 2025.
Of the A350-900 variant, the airline has 41 of them in their fleet, of which all but one are in active service, with an average age of 3.6 years.
As well as the A350-900, the French carrier has the following other aircraft in their mainline fleet:
- 57 Airbus A220s.
- 4 Airbus A318s.
- 1 Airbus A319.
- 36 Airbus A320s.
- 7 Airbus A321s.
- 6 Airbus A330s.
- 63 Boeing 777s.
- 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
In total, the carrier has 225 aircraft in their fleet, of which 206 are in active service and 19 are parked, with an average fleet age of 11.7 years.
UPDATE #3 @ 1302 UK time – Air France flight AF158 Paris to Dallas has made a descent from FL380 to FL280 as they inch closer to the mainland of Ireland.
UPDATE #4 @ 1304 UK time – The descent continues for the Airbus A350.
The cause of the emergency is still not known at this time.
UPDATE #5 @ 1312 UK time – Runway 10L at Dublin is being used for arrivals. It is unclear, dependent on the nature of the emergency, whether Runway 10R will be used instead.

EMERGENCY UPDATE #7 @ 1320 UK time – AF158 is approaching the base for an approach onto the 10s at Dublin Airport.

UPDATE #8 @ 1326 UK time – AF158 is now on final approach for emergency landing into Dublin Airport, and will be using Runway 10L.

Air France flight AF158 Paris-Dallas, which declared the emergency, has appeared to have touched down safely into Dublin Airport.
