Aircalin filed an operational schedule for its incoming Aircalin A350-900 on 27 October 2026, setting out a phased programme of services that begins in the first week of January 2027. AeroRoutes reports that the carrier has mapped four route programmes across regional Oceania and a long-haul trunk through Southeast Asia to Europe.

The Regional Launch: Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland
The first services to operate with the Aircalin A350-900 are regional, targeting Noumea's three busiest international connections. According to AeroRoutes, the Noumea to Sydney service launches on 5 January 2027 and runs through to 27 March 2027 at three flights per week.
The Noumea to Brisbane programme follows one day later, on 6 January 2027, and is also scheduled at three weekly flights initially. From 12 February 2027, that frequency drops to two per week, continuing through to 26 March 2027.
Noumea to Auckland rounds out the regional trio, with two weekly A350-900 rotations planned between 19 February and 26 March 2027, according to AeroRoutes.
The Long-Haul Step: Noumea to Paris via Bangkok
The A350-900's long-haul debut comes on 3 April 2027, when Aircalin introduces three weekly flights on the Noumea to Paris Charles de Gaulle routing via Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. The schedule then adjusts from 3 May 2027, when two of those three weekly frequencies will operate with the A350-900, as filed with AeroRoutes.
The Bangkok stop makes this a multi-sector long-haul operation, connecting New Caledonia with both Southeast Asia and Western Europe on a single routing.
Aircalin A350-900 Cabin Configuration
The A350-900 will enter service in a three-class layout designated J32W24Y269, per the filed schedules. That gives 32 seats in business class, 24 in a premium economy cabin and 269 in economy, for a total of 325 seats. The premium economy offering in particular positions the aircraft well for the long Noumea to Paris sector, where passenger comfort over many hours is a practical concern.
The Bottom Line
The Aircalin A350-900 schedules paint a clear picture of how the carrier plans to introduce its new widebody: first on established regional routes to prove the aircraft, then on the flagship Paris service where the type's range and cabin quality matter most. The regional window, running from early January through to late March 2027, gives the airline a useful period to build crew familiarity and operational confidence before the long-haul programme begins in April.
For passengers, the three-class configuration and the A350's well-regarded cabin environment represent a meaningful step up on routes that have historically been operated with smaller equipment. Whether the frequencies filed now reflect the final schedules will become clearer as the northern winter 2026/27 season progresses.
