Contour Airlines is set to open a new scheduled route between Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) and Muscle Shoals Regional Airport (MSL) from 12 November 2026, operating five times weekly aboard the Bombardier CRJ200, according to AeroRoutes.

The connection will give Muscle Shoals, Alabama, a direct link to one of the busiest hub airports in the United States, strengthening onward connectivity for travellers in the Tennessee Valley region.
The Schedule in Detail
The two flights that form the service run on offset days, giving Contour Airlines flexibility across the week. AeroRoutes reports that the northbound departure, flight LF3811, leaves Muscle Shoals at 07:50 local time and arrives at Dallas/Ft. Worth at 09:50, operating every day except Wednesdays and Sundays.
The southbound service, flight LF3814, departs DFW at 17:00 and touches down at MSL at 18:50, running every day except Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Between the two flights, passengers have access to five weekly return options in each direction, with the particular combination of days available depending on the direction of travel.
The Aircraft
Contour Airlines will operate the route on the Bombardier CRJ200, a 50-seat regional jet that forms the backbone of the carrier's fleet. The type is well suited to thinner regional routes where a larger aircraft would be unlikely to fill sustainably. What Contour Airlines Means for Passengers
For travellers based in the Muscle Shoals area, a five-times-weekly link to DFW opens up American Airlines' extensive domestic and international network, given Dallas/Ft. Worth's role as a major connecting hub. Morning departures from MSL and late-afternoon returns from DFW suit a day-trip or short-business-trip pattern well.
Contour Airlines has built its network around exactly this kind of regional connection, pairing smaller communities with large hubs rather than competing on trunk routes. The November 2026 start date gives the airline just over a year to prepare the operation. Readers who want to track the carrier's wider network can use our Airline Search to explore its routes.
The Bottom Line
This is a straightforward regional addition that will be welcomed by passengers in north-western Alabama who currently face a less direct path to a major connecting hub. Whether demand proves strong enough to sustain or grow the frequency beyond five weekly frequencies will be the story to watch once the route beds in after its November 2026 launch.
