EasyJet Will Cover Your Baby’s £66.50 Passport Fee: Here’s How

EasyJet and easyJet holidays will pay the £66.50 cost of newborns' passports for families who book a holiday by 26 November 2026.

EasyJet and easyJet holidays have announced they will cover the £66.50 cost of a newborn baby's first passport for families who book a qualifying holiday through the carrier. The offer is open until 26 November 2026 and is designed to cut the upfront cost of a young family's first trip abroad.

Why easyJet Is Launching the Scheme

The initiative follows research commissioned by the airline and tour operator. The Mirror reports that 75 per cent of parents surveyed said having their baby's passport cost covered would make a holiday feel more affordable.

The same survey found that 4 in 5 parents consider a baby's first holiday a defining family moment. More than half described it as one of their proudest milestones as a parent.

What the Passport Costs Without the Offer

A standard child's passport in the UK, including for babies, costs £66.50 when applied for online. The Liverpool Echo notes that applying by paper raises that figure to £80. EasyJet's offer covers the online fee only.

How to Claim the £66.50 Passport Reimbursement

To benefit, parents must book a holiday through easyJet holidays before the 26 November deadline. Once the booking is in place, parents need to supply an approved passport photo for their baby. The rest of the passport application is handled in the usual way through HM Passport Office.

Parents can take the photo at home using a smartphone, provided the image meets HM Passport Office's official guidelines. According to The Mirror, nearly a quarter of parents surveyed said it took them around six attempts to capture an acceptable shot, while almost one in ten admitted they did not know their baby needed a passport until they began planning their trip.

The Peppa Pig Video and Captain Kate West

EasyJet has also released a short film on the Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Parenting YouTube channel to help families navigate the process. The video features easyJet Captain Kate West, herself a new parent, alongside Mummy Pig and the Pig family.

Captain Kate said: "We carry millions of families across Europe every year, and we know that travelling with a baby brings a whole series of exciting firsts. We want to make travel as easy and accessible as possible for everyone, including young families, so they can enjoy all the experiences and memories that travel can bring. We hope that covering the cost of a baby's first passport goes a small way towards making that first family adventure a little easier and gives our youngest travellers a warm welcome to the world."

How Many Babies Are Already Flying with easyJet

The scheme comes against a backdrop of rising demand from the youngest passengers. The Liverpool Echo reports that easyJet holidays recorded a 10 per cent increase in the number of babies travelling in 2026 compared with 2025.

Meanwhile, 47 per cent of parents in the survey said that taking their children abroad makes them more curious about the world, giving the offer relevance beyond the financial saving.

The passport initiative is one of several easyJet stories to watch this autumn. Earlier this month we covered easyJet's baggage allowance rules and cabin bag sizes for 2026, which is worth reading alongside this if you are in the early stages of planning a trip.

The Bottom Line

For families already planning an easyJet holiday, the offer is a straightforward way to recoup £66.50 on an unavoidable travel document. The 26 November 2026 booking deadline is the key date to keep in mind. Full details are available directly from easyJet via the links in The Mirror's coverage.
