Edelweiss Air has pulled its Zurich to Las Vegas route from its Northern Summer 2027 schedule, abandoning a service that had been due to begin on 26 May 2027. The cancellation, recorded by AeroRoutes in the week of 27 October 2026, ends a transatlantic leisure route before it ever operated.

What Had Been Planned
Edelweiss Air had scheduled two flights per week on the route, operated with an Airbus A350-900, according to AeroRoutes. The outbound service, operating as WK002/LX8002, was timetabled to leave Zurich (ZRH) at 13:55 and arrive in Las Vegas (LAS) at 16:25 local time. The return leg, WK003/LX8003, was set to depart Las Vegas at 19:20 and touch down in Zurich at 15:00 the following afternoon.
The dual flight number pairing with LX codes reflects the close commercial relationship between Edelweiss and its parent group, Swiss International Air Lines, which markets Edelweiss flights under the LX designator.
A Route That Edelweiss Air Will Not Launch
The removal of the Zurich to Las Vegas pairing means Edelweiss passengers hoping for a direct connection to Nevada this summer will need to look elsewhere. Las Vegas is a natural target for a Swiss leisure carrier given its appeal as a holiday destination, but the route did not survive the NS27 planning cycle.
The A350-900 is a long-haul widebody well suited to transatlantic flying. Readers wanting to explore which Edelweiss routes do operate this aircraft can use our Airline Search to browse the carrier's current network.
The Bottom Line
Edelweiss Air's decision to stand down the Zurich to Las Vegas service before it launched removes what would have been a notable new seasonal link between Switzerland and the American Southwest. No replacement routing has been announced in the brief. Passengers who had been anticipating the service should check directly with Edelweiss Air for alternative options on their travel dates.
