Source: Flightradar24.

K2 Airways flight KTA1732 departed from Sharjah, presumably bound for Karachi, based on previous flight data.

Furthermore, it is AP-BOI that is understood to have been involved in the accident.

As per data from Planespotters.net, AP-BOI is a 27.5 year old Boeing 737-400 that started out life with Aeroflot back in April 1999.

In July 2004, it was handed over to Garuda Indonesia, before being sent to lessor GECAS in October 2011.

TNT Airways of Belgium took on the aircraft in June 2012, before being sent to ASL Airlines Belgium in May 2016.

From there, ASL then operated the aircraft for TNT Express before being sent to FedEx in August 2017.

By April 2024, the aircraft was sent to lessor AerCap, before being sent to K2 Airways in October 2024.

Data from Flightradar24 indicates that the aircraft departed from Sharjah at just after 1500 UTC today and tracked east towards Karachi.

To the south-west of the Pakistan-based city, the aircraft appeared to have made a massive ascent before losing speed, and looks to have stalled out of the sky based on preliminary data from the flight tracking app.

Furthermore, the last element of tracking information shows the aircraft at 1,100 feet at 114 knots ground speed with a vertical speed of -22,400 feet per minute.

Aircraft Presumed Crashed Currently…

At this stage, the aircraft has been presumed to have crashed, with no additional ADS-B coverage tracking the aircraft.
