In a startling event that happened earlier today, an American Airlines flight requested law enforcement on arrival into Philadelphia.
Information has been released pertinent to the incident at hand.

American Airlines Flight AA3046 – Charlotte to Philadelphia…

American Airlines flight AA3046, which suffered the unique incident onboard, is a routine scheduled flight between Charlotte & Philadelphia.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was N111US.
As per data from Planespotters.net, N111US is a 26.7 year old Airbus A320 that started out life with US Airways back in November 1999.
Following the merger with American Airlines, it was handed over to the AA registry in December 2013, where it has been since.
Of the A320 variant, American Airlines has 48 of them in their fleet, of which all but one of them are in active service, with an average age of 25.2 years.
As well as the A320, the carrier has the following other aircraft in their mainline fleet:
- 132 Airbus A319s.
- 306 Airbus A321s.
- 406 Boeing 737s.
- 67 Boeing 777s.
- 70 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
In total, the mainline fleet has 1,029 aircraft in the fleet, of which 999 are in active service and 30 are parked, with an average fleet age of 14.6 years.
American Airlines flight AA3046 departed from Charlotte at 0839 local time today and proceeded north to Philadelphia.
Near to their destination, they communicated to air traffic control that on arrival into their destination, they would need EMTs and local law enforcement to meet them.
The aircraft did land safely without further incident at 0942 local time.
Why Did They Need Law Enforcement?
It is understood that it was a little chaotic onboard American Airlines flight AA3046 Charlotte-Philadelphia.
From the embedded tweet above, there is a recording from air traffic control requesting law enforcement and EMT assistance on arrival because a passenger in their 70s allegedly bit another passenger and then tried to fight everybody onboard.
There is no information regarding the individual as of yet, but it is unclear whether any criminal charges have been made.
