Miles and Points Offers Closing Soon: Dates You Need to Know
A roundup of the loyalty scheme promotions, hotel bonus point offers and credit card deals that are about to expire.

Several miles and points offers are set to close in the coming weeks, covering everything from hotel stay bonuses to Avios transfer promotions and credit card sign-up deals. Head for Points has compiled a full diary of deadlines for loyalty scheme members who want to make the most of current promotions before they expire.

The range of deals spans the major hotel chains, several airline frequent flyer programmes, and at least one notable credit card offer. Here is what is coming up and when.
Credit and Debit Card Miles and Points Offers
The most significant card deal currently running is on the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card. According to Head for Points, the sign-up bonus has been increased from 15,000 to 50,000 Hilton Honors points until 14th December. New cardholders also receive 10 additional Elite Qualifying Nights, which Head for Points describes as the strongest bonus ever offered on this card.
Two American Express cashback offers are also closing imminently. The £100 cashback on a £500 Relais and Chateaux hotel spend ends on 19th October, while the £300 cashback on a £700 United Airlines flight booking closes on 23rd October.
Hotel Promotions Running Now
All five of the major hotel loyalty programmes have active bonus stay promotions, each with its own registration requirement and end date.
Head for Points reports that Hilton Honors members can earn 1,000 to 3,000 bonus points per stay, on cash or reward bookings, depending on brand and whether the property is a resort. The promotion runs from 15th October to 31st December and requires registration.
IHG One Rewards is offering triple base points on stays booked through the IHG app and double base points through other qualifying channels. The bonus applies from the second stay after registration, and the offer runs from 1st October to 31st December.
Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 1,500 bonus points for every two-night cash stay completed between 22nd September and 22nd November, but registration closes on 13th November. World of Hyatt is offering 3,000 bonus points for every three nights stayed between 29th September and 15th December, with a cap of 36,000 bonus points. Nights do not need to be consecutive.
Radisson Rewards members receive 6,000 points for staying at two different brands, plus an extra 2,000 points for a third and fourth brand. Only bookings made after registration count, and the offer runs to 20th December.
Buy Points Bonuses
Two hotel programmes are currently running enhanced buy-points promotions. Head for Points notes that Hilton Honors is offering a 120% bonus when buying points by 21st November, which it describes as the biggest bonus ever on Hilton points purchases. Marriott Bonvoy is offering a 55% bonus on points purchases made by 23rd November.
Avios Transfer Bonuses and Redemption Deals
Several Avios-related promotions are closing at the end of October. According to Head for Points, 31st October is the last day to claim a 20% bonus on transfers of Nectar points into Avios, and vice versa.
The same date marks the end of a promotion offering up to a 35% bonus on transfers from four hotel currencies and Capital on Tap credit card points into Avios through Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Qatar Airways is also offering 25% off Avios redemptions through its Privilege Deals for October, but that booking window closes on 14th October for travel by 30th November.
Club Eurostar members have until 28th October to book redemptions or upgrades before the scheme devalues.
A Note on the Rove Miles Offer
For those interested in buying points at a lower cost basis, View from the Wing has flagged an unusual offer through Rove, a programme that transfers to partners including Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer, among others. A merchant called "Webroot master" is generating 130.7 Rove miles per dollar spent, which equates to buying miles at roughly three-quarters of a cent each.
View from the Wing cautions that the monthly subscription cost reported by users was around $3.80, that the licence cannot be transferred or resold, and that the publication had not investigated the offer fully at the time of writing. The miles are expected to become available around mid-December based on user reports from Reddit.
One to Watch: British Airways Aberdeen Lounge
Away from points promotions, Head for Points notes that 26th October is the latest proposed date for the much-delayed re-opening of the British Airways lounge in Aberdeen. Readers interested in tracking British Airways routes and services can use our Airline Search tool to stay up to date.
The Bottom Line
The next three weeks are busy for loyalty scheme members. The most urgent deadlines are the Qatar Airways Privilege Deals booking window on 14th October, the Marriott Bonvoy registration close on 13th November, and the cluster of Avios transfer bonuses ending on 31st October. Acting before those dates is straightforward; the harder task is remembering to register for the hotel promotions that require it before any stay counts.
