Ryanair Launches 29 New Routes for Summer 2027: Spain Among the Winners
Ryanair has put 29 new routes on sale for summer 2027, with four of them connecting to Spain, as part of a schedule covering more than 2,500 routes.

Ryanair has placed 29 new routes on sale for the 2027 northern summer season, with four of them serving Spanish airports. The new services form part of a schedule that aviacionline reports will comprise more than 2,500 routes to 230 destinations.

The flights are already bookable through the Irish carrier's usual sales channels, making this one of the earliest summer 2027 releases the airline has made.
What the 29 New Routes Cover
The United Kingdom features in 11 of the new connections, Italy in 10 and Poland in eight, according to aviacionline.
Leeds Bradford is the biggest single winner among airports, gaining four routes: Bari, Budapest, Corfu and Tirana. Bari and Wroclaw each add three new connections of their own.
Morocco also gains a stronger foothold in the network. Tangier will have new flights from Alicante, Krakow and Turin, and the Palermo to Marrakech pairing is also included in the batch.
The Four New Routes to Spain
The Spanish connections in this release are Alicante to Naples, Alicante to Tangier, Malaga to Norwich and Memmingen to Seville. The Alicante routes add two new departure points to that airport, while Malaga gains a direct link to Norwich for the first time under this announcement.
Memmingen to Seville rounds out the Spanish quartet, giving the Bavarian airport a new connection to southern Spain.

What Ryanair's Marketing Director Said
Dara Brady, Ryanair's marketing director, described these as the first routes of what will be "an exceptional schedule for the summer of 2027". He added that "we will announce more exciting developments as Ryanair continues to expand the largest route network in Europe," according to aviacionline.
The language signals that further route announcements for summer 2027 are expected in the coming months.
The Boeing 737 MAX 10 Question
Alongside its route expansion, Ryanair is awaiting certification of the Boeing 737 MAX 10. The airline holds 150 aircraft on firm order and options for a further 150, and it maintains that it will receive its first 15 examples in the northern spring of 2027.
That timeline faces uncertainty. Aviacionline reports that the FAA announced on 28 September that it will not certify the type until a software issue is resolved. Ryanair's position, stated in late September, is that its delivery schedule remains on track despite that announcement.
Boeing says the MAX 10 will reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 20% compared with previous-generation aircraft and cut its noise footprint in half. The type can carry up to 230 passengers, which would allow Ryanair to add seats on its busiest routes. You can explore the Boeing 737 MAX 10 and other aircraft further using our Aircraft Search tool.
The Bottom Line
This batch of 29 routes is framed by Ryanair as an opening salvo rather than a complete picture of its summer 2027 plans. The spread across the UK, Italy and Poland reflects where the carrier sees the strongest demand, and Leeds Bradford's four new connections make it a clear focus of this particular release.
The unresolved question of Boeing 737 MAX 10 certification sits in the background. If the FAA does not certify the type in time for a spring 2027 delivery, Ryanair's ability to deploy extra capacity on its densest routes could be affected. For now, the airline is pressing ahead with sales while that process continues. You can track Ryanair's network and other carriers using our Airline Search tool.
