In the last few moments, Ryanair flight FR7667 from Warsaw to Leeds has declared an emergency over Dutch airspace.

UPDATE #1 @ 1930 UK time – The aircraft is currently descending through FL240.

UPDATE #2 @ 1932 UK time – The aircraft involved in the incident is EI-EKM.

As per data from Planespotters.net, EI-EKM is a 16.3 year old Boeing 737-8AS that was delivered to the airline back in February 2010.

Of the 737-8AS variant, Ryanair has 197 of them in their mainline Irish AOC.

Within the 197, 192 are in active service, and five are parked, with an average fleet age of 16.5 years.

UPDATE #3 @ 1935 UK time – The aircraft is descending through FL180 at the moment.

Amsterdam or Rotterdam look likely as potential airports for diversion.

UPDATE #4 @ 1939 UK time – The descent is intensifying for Ryanair flight FR7665 Warsaw-Leeds, as Amsterdam Schiphol looks the most likely diversion point now.

UPDATE #5 @ 1944 UK time – The Boeing 737-800 is now on final approach into Amsterdam Schiphol.

Emergency landing imminent.

The reason for the emergency is not yet clear at this stage.

UPDATE #6 @ 1951 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!

Ryanair flight FR7665 Warsaw-Leeds has appeared to have made a successful emergency landing into Amsterdam Schiphol.

As soon as we know the reason for the incident, we will update you accordingly.

All we know at the moment is that the aircraft declared an emergency over Dutch airspace and started to descent pretty sharpishly.

Whatever the issue is onboard, it is serious enough to prompt a diversion to the major Dutch international airport.

This remains a developing story. More to follow shortly.

UPDATE #7 @ 2002 UK time – Operations are not disrupted following the emergency landing into Amsterdam Schiphol tonight.

UPDATE #8 @ 2005 UK time – It is understood that the Trauma Heli Lifeliner1 was activated as a result of this emergency.

It is understood the incident is “acute” also.

UPDATE #9 @ 2029 UK time – As per @FlightEmergency on X, it is understood the reason was a medical emergency onboard.
