Ryanair Adds Four Leeds Bradford Airport Routes for Summer 2027

Ryanair has announced four new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport as part of its first 29 summer 2027 routes now on sale.

Ryanair has announced four new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) as part of the first 29 new summer 2027 routes the carrier has put on sale, with bookings open now through its website and app.

The four new destinations from LBA are Budapest, Tirana, Corfu and Bari, according to the Telegraph and Argus. The announcement was made on 9 October, with further routes expected to follow as Ryanair builds out its full seasonal schedule.

What the New Leeds Bradford Airport Routes Are

The four routes bring genuine variety to the LBA departure board. Budapest offers a central European city break, Tirana opens up the Albanian capital as a low-cost option, Corfu provides a classic Greek island summer choice, and Bari gives access to the heel of Italy.

A spokesperson for LBA told the Telegraph and Argus: "We're delighted to announce four new Ryanair routes launching next summer. Passengers will be able to fly from LBA to Budapest, Tirana, Corfu, and Bari, as part of the 82 destinations we'll be offering for Summer 2027."

The airport spokesperson added: "With more destinations on offer than ever before, we're already getting ready for our biggest summer ever."

Ryanair's Wider Summer 2027 Plans

The four LBA routes are just the beginning of what Ryanair expects to be a significant summer. Aviation24.be reports that the airline plans to operate more than 2,500 routes across a network of 230 destinations next summer.

Ryanair's chief marketing officer, Dara Brady, said the airline was "pleased to launch the first 29 new routes of what is set to be a bumper summer 2027 schedule, giving our cost-savvy customers an early opportunity to start planning next year's getaways."

Brady confirmed that the 29 routes on sale now are only the start. "These are the first of our new summer 2027 routes to go on sale, with more exciting additions to be announced as Ryanair continues to expand Europe's largest route network," he said, as quoted by the Telegraph and Argus.

What This Means for the Region

The expansion underlines Ryanair's continued commitment to LBA as a base for leisure travel in the north of England. The airport is positioning summer 2027 as its broadest schedule yet, with 82 destinations in total on offer.

For passengers in Yorkshire and the wider region, the new routes mean more direct access to southern and eastern Europe without the need to connect through a hub airport. That is a meaningful practical benefit for travellers who would otherwise face long surface journeys to reach Heathrow or Gatwick.

Ryanair is also in the process of expanding its fleet, and we have previously looked at when Ryanair is set to receive its Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft, which will play a key role in supporting that network growth.

The Bottom Line

Four new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport is a tangible win for a regional airport that has been working to grow its offer. Budapest, Tirana, Corfu and Bari cover both leisure and emerging city-break markets, and their addition to an already 82-destination summer schedule is a sign of LBA's growing appeal to Ryanair.

With Ryanair confirming that more summer 2027 routes are still to be announced, further additions from LBA cannot be ruled out. Watch this space as the carrier continues to fill out its schedule over the coming months.
