A spotters dream come true

Robin Gibson
Spotter user · AH001 Spotter

It does everything you could want and more. Fantastic. Buy it now, without hesitation, you won't regret it.

I was using a spreadsheet before this and now I would not go back, it does so much more. I mainly use the logbook most, but enjoy Eurosky, selecting a plane gives quite a bit of information. Analytics gives you charts and figures until your heart is content.

I cannot praise Spotter enough. It is a spotters dream come true.

Before you buy

The questions people usually ask. If yours is not here, send an email and you will get a straight answer.

Email a question
When do I get my order?

Immediately. Your order is processed as soon as the payment goes through and sent to you straight away, so you should have it within a minute or two of paying. If it has not turned up, check your junk folder first, then email us and it will be sent again.

How do I pay, and do I need an account?

Everything goes through Stripe. You can pay by debit or credit card, and on most devices by Apple Pay or Google Pay. You do not need an account with The Aviation Hub or with Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own secure checkout page and never touch this website.

Is this a subscription?

No. Everything in the shop is a single payment. There is no monthly fee, no annual renewal and nothing to cancel later. For a logbook you keep for decades, charging every month never sat right.

Will Spotter run on my Mac, iPad or phone?

No. Spotter is a Windows desktop application for 64-bit Windows 8.1, 10 and 11. There is no Mac, iOS, Android or web version, so please check before buying.

Can I install Spotter on more than one computer?

Yes. A purchase covers your own machines, so you can put it on a desktop and a laptop without buying twice. It is for personal use rather than sharing around a club. Your logbook is stored on each machine separately, so use export and import to move records between them.

Where is my logbook stored, and is it private?

On your own PC. Spotter does not upload your sightings, photos or locations anywhere. That also means backups are your responsibility, so export to CSV or Excel now and again and keep the file somewhere safe.

Do I get updates?

Yes. Spotter is actively being developed, and updates to the current version are free to everyone who has bought it.

Can I print the logbook more than once?

Yes. Print the whole book, or just the Session Log pages whenever you run out. One purchase covers your own use for as long as you spot.

I am in the US. Will the logbook print on Letter paper?

Yes. Choose "Fit to page" in your print settings and everything scales neatly.

Does the logbook work with Spotter?

It is a separate product, but the columns match what you log in Spotter. When you want your paper sightings on your PC, type them into a spreadsheet and import it.

Can I get a refund?

Digital downloads normally come with a 14-day right to cancel, which ends once the download has started and you have agreed to that at checkout. That said, nobody wants an unhappy customer over five pounds. If something genuinely does not work, or you have bought the same thing twice, get in touch and it will be put right.
