It is understood, as per @FlightEmergency on X, Jet2 Flight LS1451 London-Fuerteventura diverted into Faro and made an emergency landing due to an issue with engine number one.

Further research applied by The Aviation Herald stated that the crew reported an “irregular indication” with the engine, which prompted the diversion and emergency.

What we do know also is that Jet2 dispatched a new aircraft, registered G-DRTV to Faro to pick up the stranded passengers and take them onwards to Fuerteventura, departing from the Portuguese Airport at just before 1630 UTC, landing into Fuerteventura at 1749 UTC.

G-DRTW, the aircraft affected by the emergency issue, is still grounded in Faro.

It is unclear how long the fixes will take before the aircraft is allowed to be ferried back to the UK to continue commercial operation.
